How to reach us?
BY CAR
The road to Jested is signposted from the main road E442. Exit the road in the direction of Ještěd and head to the part of the town called Horní Hanychov. The route continues up through the forest on a newly repaired road to the Výpřež saddle, where there is a turn-off to Ještěd.
ON FOOT
You can reach Ještěd on foot by following the blue hiking trail from Horní Hanychov (3.4 km) or by hiking through Pláně pod Ještědem and then following the red hiking trail to the top to the Ještěd (4.8 km).
BY CHAIRLIFT SKALKA TO THE ČERNÝ KOPEC (BLACK HILL)
From Horní Hanychov you can also take the Skalka chairlift, which will take you to the neighbouring Černý Kopec peak. From there you can reach Ještěd by a pleasant 2 km long route along the ridge (elevation 140 m).
From Horní Hanychov, from the tram terminus, you can also take the chairlift Skalka, which will take you to the neighbouring Černý hill. From there you can reach Ještěd by a pleasant, less than 2 km long route along the ridge (140 m elevation gain, red hiking trail). The summer operation of the cable car starts on Thursday 14 April 2022 and runs throughout Easter. It also runs on weekends, from Friday to Sunday.
